In response to the devastating floods affecting communities near the Disang River in Assam, Aahwahan Foundation has launched an Emergency Flood Relief Camp in Assam to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to families displaced by the disaster.
Continuous heavy rainfall and rising river levels have inundated villages, damaged homes, destroyed agricultural land, and disrupted essential infrastructure across several flood-affected areas. Thousands of families have been forced to leave their homes, with many taking shelter in temporary relief camps while facing severe shortages of food, clean drinking water, medicines, clothing, and other daily necessities.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Aahwahan Foundation has mobilized its volunteers and relief teams to provide timely assistance to the affected communities.
Emergency Relief Operations Underway
The Foundation’s relief mission focuses on delivering life-saving essentials to vulnerable families, including:
- Dry ration and ready-to-eat food packets
- Safe drinking water
- Medicines and first-aid supplies
- Hygiene and sanitation kits
- Clothes, blankets, and basic household essentials
- Emergency support for children, women, elderly citizens, and differently-abled individuals
“Our mission is to stand beside every family affected by this disaster and ensure that no one is left without hope during this difficult time,” said a spokesperson from Aahwahan Foundation. “Natural disasters demand collective action, and together we can help communities recover with dignity.”
A Call for Public Support
As floodwaters continue to impact several regions of Assam, the need for humanitarian assistance remains critical. Aahwahan Foundation is appealing to individuals, corporate organizations, educational institutions, CSR partners, philanthropists, and volunteers to support the ongoing relief efforts.
Every contribution will directly help provide essential relief materials to flood-affected families and strengthen rescue and rehabilitation initiatives on the ground.
The Foundation encourages the public to contribute through its official donation channels and share the campaign to help reach more people willing to support the cause.
Together, We Can Rebuild Lives
Aahwahan Foundation believes that compassion and collective action can make a meaningful difference during times of crisis. The organization remains committed to supporting affected communities until they can safely rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
The Foundation urges citizens across India to stand in solidarity with the people of Assam by donating, volunteering, and spreading awareness about the ongoing relief campaign.
Every act of kindness matters. Every donation brings hope. Every share can inspire another helping hand.
