Relief Operations Underway Across 56 Locations in Flood-Affected Bihar
Bihar, India | September 26, 2026: Aahwahan Foundation has launched its Bihar Flood Relief 2026 Campaign to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to families affected by the devastating floods across the state. As part of the ongoing relief initiative, the Foundation aims to reach 20,000 + flood-affected families across 14 districts, providing essential food, health support, and daily-use relief supplies.
The Foundation has already carried out relief operations across 56 locations in flood-affected areas. Relief teams are working across districts and locations including Patna, Hajipur, Ara, Supaul, Fatuha, Ballia, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Buxar, Samastipur, Munger, Khagaria, Katihar and Arwal, among other affected areas.
The relief kits are being prepared based on the immediate needs of affected families, with a focus on essential food items, healthcare requirements, and daily-use supplies. The initiative aims to provide timely support to communities that have been severely impacted by flooding and have been left without access to basic necessities.
Ground Teams Reaching Families in Difficult-to-Access Areas
Aahwahan Foundation’s relief efforts have extended beyond areas accessible by road. Nitesh Kumar, North India Head of Aahwahan Foundation, personally participated in the ground relief operations, visiting affected communities and helping families in areas where access was severely restricted.
In several locations where roads were inaccessible because of floodwaters, relief teams used boats to reach stranded families and deliver essential assistance directly to their homes. This ground-level approach has enabled the Foundation to reach communities that might otherwise have remained cut off from relief support.
The campaign has also received active support from local volunteers and community members. Bablu Kumar, Ritesh Kumar, Anish Kumar, Atul, Sippu, Deepu, Tutu, Prince, Sonu, Mukul and other local volunteers have stepped forward and contributed to the relief efforts, helping teams coordinate with affected families and distribute essential supplies on the ground.

Speaking about the ongoing relief campaign, Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO and Founder of Aahwahan Foundation, said:
“For families affected by floods, the crisis does not end when the water begins to recede. Many lose their homes, livelihoods, household belongings and access to essential services. At such a difficult time, standing with affected families and ensuring that they receive food, healthcare and essential supplies is our responsibility.”
