Bangalore, Karnataka – With remarkable achievements and impacts across various initiatives and committed to ensuring quality education for all, Aahwahan Foundation inaugurated its Model School Project at Government High School, Thoredoddi, in the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. C.N. Manjunath, MD, DM (Cardiology), FRCP, FACC, Padma Shri Awardee and Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bangalore Rural Constituency, who formally inaugurated the project.
The event was also graced by senior officials from the Department of Education, including the CEO of Aahwahan Foundation, Mr. Braja Kishore Pradhan, Block Education Officer and District Education Officer, along with the school authorities, students, community members, and other distinguished guests.
The project includes a multi-dimensional approach focused on the holistic improvement, which ranges from enabling clean drinking water through RO plant installation, to constructing an open auditorium with the capacity of accommodating 1000+ students, and then enhancing the school campus through tree plantation. These are designed to prioritize health, quality education, and environmental responsibility among the students. These comprehensive development aspects will benefit hundreds of underprivileged students in the long term.

With the introduction of the new RO Plant facility, students get easy access to clean drinking water, which has significantly increased their health and well-being. The newly constructed auditorium provides a vibrant space for the children for academic, cultural, and sports activities, accommodating a substantial number of students. Beyond classroom learning, this serves as a potential platform encouraging them to explore more and to contribute towards their holistic development.
The surrounding area of the school is covered in greenery now, with trees offering shade and sweet fruits to the students. The tree plantation project by Aahwahan has transformed the school into a thriving green space while making the children environmentally cautious and responsible citizens, bringing them closer to nature.
At its core, the model school initiative is designed not just for the present, but for the future, for equipping the upcoming generation with more inclusive and sustainable opportunities. The CEO of Aahwahan Foundation Braja Kishore Pradhan reiterated Aahwahan’s commitment to transforming government schools through strengthened infrastructure, improved amenities, and community-driven development initiatives.
